Alfasi Property is one step closer to delivering its flagship commercial building in the tightly held office hot spot of Cremorne
Construction has begun on a new technology-focused smart building in Melbourne, with Alfasi Property commencing work on its flagship project at 510 Church Street, Cremorne.
Set for completion in mid-2021, the development will deliver an additional 18,559 square metres of innovative A-Grade office space featuring large, efficient, light-filled and flexible floorplates.
Features will include electric vehicle charging stations, fast and reliable WI-FI connectivity, safety and security access controls using smartphones, smart lighting and smart metering are among the features.
Alfasi Property Managing Director Gill Dvir said the design responded to the changing demands of a new workforce.
"This new workforce is seeking out a networked, connected and dynamic place to do business, which delivers upon their cultural, wellness and technological needs," he said.
Situated on a 3,058sqm site, the nine levels of the building range in size from 1,758sqm to 2628sqm, with outdoor terraces included on every second level and four street frontages allowing for an abundance of natural light.

There is also basement car parking for 147 vehicles, high quality end-of-trip facilities, a rooftop terrace and a cutting-edge smart building app will further enhance the building, which is targeting 5-Star Green Star and 4.5-Star NABERS ratings.
Alfasi Property has appointed Colliers International’s Rob Joyes and Travis Myerscough and Cushman and Wakefield’s Ben McKendry and Ben Ward on the leasing campaign.
Mr Myerscough said there had already been significant interest from a range of tenants.
“It occupiers have been keen to secure space in what has become Melbourne’s hub for technology businesses but we have also had a variety of other creative and innovative companies get in touch," he said.
“The development is uniquely positioned to attract tenants who are looking to migrate from the suburbs closer to the CBD, but also those who are seeking to relocate from the CBD to more affordable office space in the city that allows them to remain well connected via public transport.”
