Pedro Jose Bernardo - KC Partnership

Pedro Jose Bernardo is a partner at Kelvin Chia Partnership and a principal foreign attorney at Kelvin Chia Yangon Ltd.

His practice in Myanmar has included assisting local and foreign clients in investment projects across various sectors, including real estate, manufacturing, telecommunications and oil and gas. He has participated in the drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents, and has had extensive experience in the preparation of and application for necessary approvals from the Myanmar Investment Commission and other relevant Myanmar authorities. He has also advised on commercial and financing structures in Myanmar, and has advised both investors and financial institutions on possible corporate and project finance structures.

He obtained his B.A. from the Ateneo de Manila University, and his J.D. from the Ateneo de Manila Law School, in the Philippines. He also holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (concentration in International Finance and Financial Systems), in Cambridge Massachusetts.  He is a qualified attorney under the Philippine and New York State bars.
