Increasing concerns about rising power prices has driven stunning demand for a new townhouse development at Kenmore, where a range of sustainability features are helping create a model for future development in and around Brisbane.
Treetops at Kenmore a joint venture by Metro Property Development and City Development Limited (CDL) has sold and settled more than $107million of new townhouses this year with buyers flocking to take advantage of a range of built-in environmental innovations. The project consists of 96 town homes with the first stage now settled and stages 2 and 3 to be completed by August and November.
Metro Property Development General Manager – Sales & Marketing Peter Hobbs said the project had sold 92 townhouses to date with just four remaining. The remaining townhouses at the project are priced from $1.299million.
“Buyers are becoming far more conscious about the running costs of a new property and they want to know that they aren’t going to be stung with a big power bill shortly after moving in,” he said.
“Including things like solar panels and charging stations is far more efficient when you do it as part of the initial build process and when you scale across multiple homes you can really drive down the costs and increase the return on investment for owners.
“The types of environmental and sustainability features we have included are quickly going from a nice to have, to an absolute must-have.”
The environmental and sustainability features ate Treetops include:
Solar Power
All homes at Treetops Kenmore incorporate a 6.6KW solar PV system to reduce power from the grid.
EV Charging Station
Residents can save and money by charging their electric vehicle at home with every townhouse coming with a charging station, allowing the owner to charge their car overnight.
Energy Efficient Appliances & Inclusions
