Lendlease has given part of Melbourne’s CBD a boost with a laneway transformation and revitalisation of two A-Grade office buildings located opposite Flagstaff Gardens, creating a workplace offering focused on employee wellbeing.
Brights & Park at Flagstaff Gardens comprises 469 and 485 La Trobe Street with both buildings connected via the Park Street laneway, that features Melbourne’s iconic blue stone paving and a shared zone for pedestrians and cyclists.
The laneway showcases new public art by First Nations artist, Tim Moriarty, that represents the different Wurundjeri seasons in Melbourne, representing the continuous and permanent nature of all things. The interactive art is an immersive experience with QR codes included to inform visitors of the significance behind each piece.
Health and wellbeing are at the core of the revitalised precinct with customers enjoying access to a wellness space for yoga, meditation, Pilates and other fitness classes as well as exclusive activations. Precinct customers can also hire picnic blankets and frisbees to enjoy in the park.
Recently completed renovations have seen the lobby space at 469 Latrobe Street upgraded with features including a new business lounge and biophilic design incorporated throughout, capitalising on the expansive views onto Flagstaff Gardens.
The commercial precinct is owned and managed by Lendlease’s APPF Commercial fund and has attracted a range of tenants including not-for-profits, Save the Children and Good Shepard, health focused businesses including Australian Dental Council and MedHealth, as well as ProbeCX and Intrax.
The precinct is powered by solar, with 485 La Trobe being WELL Gold certified and 469 La Trobe receiving WELL Health and Safety certification.
Additionally, ample car and bicycle parking are available including EV parking stations and modern end of trip facilities.
Micah Schulz, Fund Manager, APPF Commercial“Intelligently designed precincts like Brights & Park in the heart of Melbourne that offer a great workplace experience have played a key role in creating engaging and vibrant workplaces.
“Tim’s artwork celebrating the seasons is a great addition to the precinct and contributes to Melbourne’s authentic laneway culture. People want to work in places that support their productivity and wellbeing and Brights & Park delivers for tenants with art, wellness, access to greenspace and transport and the opportunity to connect outdoors.”
