More than 35,000 square metres of developable land in Auckland, New Zealand is for sale via an international expressions of interest campaign.
Expression of interest close this month for a major freehold development site in Manukau, New Zealand.
Comprising about 35,820 square metres, the mixed-use block at 8-10 Pacific Events Centre Drive, Manukau is being marketed by JLL New Zealand.
Manukau is considered the anchor for Southern Auckland, having played an important role in servicing a fast-growing population.
At a glance:
JLL New Zealand Sales and Leasing agent Tommy Zhang said the situation within the region was unique.
"The combination of the area’s people, strong Māori heritage, position as the world’s Pasifika hub, geographic features, high numbers of jobs, and creative and economic potential is unlike any other place in New Zealand," he said.
"Manukau is Auckland’s main industrial hub, with a metropolitan centre catering to the south Auckland market of almost half a million residents.
"There is expected to be significant growth in the area in the coming years, with the residential to increase from around 6000 to 20,000 by 2040, and the number of jobs is expected to increase by over 22,500 to around 56,000 by 2040."
There is already plenty happening in the area surrounding the available site, with the Vodafone Events Centre and Vector Wero Whitewater Park among the nearby attractions.
The property also has proximity to a small convenience retail centre featuring restaurants, takeaway shops, a Fresh & Save supermarket, retail shops and family doctors.
The area is well serviced in terms of educational facilities, with some childcare centres, primary schools and high schools in the near locality as well as two major tertiary institutions, Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) and Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Under the Auckland Unitary Plan (Operative in part), the land is predominantly zoned Mixed Use, with the Pacific Events Centre Sub-precinct boundary adjoining the northern perimeter of the site.
The property is being marketed through an international campaign and sold by Expressions of Interest closing 4pm Wednesday 3rd of April 2019 NZT (unless sold prior).
