Landream has unveiled its landmark $900 million Pyrmont Place development, the pioneer residential project in the Blackwattle Bay precinct that will spearhead Sydney's Pyrmont transformation.
The historic project, which follows years of careful planning, will revitalise the former City of Sydney Council depot site at 14-26 Wattle Street. Its launch marks a significant milestone in the NSW Government's vision to reshape this iconic harbourfront into a thriving urban hub. The project will deliver 237 luxury apartments.
"Pyrmont Place embodies our vision for creating transformative urban spaces that honour the past while embracing the future," says Harvard Shen, Director at Landream. "This project isn't just about delivering premium residences – it's about crafting a vibrant community that will become the catalyst for Pyrmont's evolution into one of Sydney's most desirable waterfront neighbourhoods."
Located at the intersection of urban convenience and natural beauty, the development will offer a diverse mix of one, two, three, and four-bedroom apartments. Each residence is thoughtfully oriented to maximize views over Wentworth Park, Blackwattle Bay, or the Sydney CBD skyline, creating an inspired urban sanctuary on the edge of the city.
BVN's architectural vision pays homage to Pyrmont's industrial roots and sandstone heritage while establishing a new benchmark for contemporary living. Each of the four buildings features a distinctive façade that harmoniously complements the surrounding heritage terrace houses, railway viaducts, and industrial warehouses of Wattle Street.
”Pyrmont Place represents a unique market opportunity that combines premium waterfront living with genuine lifestyle amenity on the cusp of the CBD," says Tim Rees from CBRE Residential Projects. "We are expecting strong interest from local owner occupiers who recognise the value of securing a residence in this transformative precinct. The combination of harbour views, resort-style amenities, and proximity to the new Sydney Fish Market makes this a compelling investment in Sydney's future."
Inside, the residences showcase BVN's commitment to understated luxury. Free-flowing living spaces are enhanced by high-end fixtures and finishes, including premium Gaggenau and Miele appliances.
The development's extensive amenities rival those of world-class resorts. A stunning outdoor podium features a heated swimming pool with sunbathing deck, complemented by barbecue areas and landscaped spaces. Communal and landscaped terraces will feature water and park views.
Additional resident facilities include a state-of-the-art gym, acoustically treated music and meeting rooms, private dining room with professional kitchen and work from home pods. In addition, a 91- place childcare centre and recreation centre with two indoor multi-sports courts will be handed over to the City of Sydney once completed.
Landscape architects OCULUS have created a ground-breaking design that actively repairs the natural environment. Green terraces, integrated façade plantings, and extensive tree canopy feature native species that celebrate the six seasons of the D'harawal calendar. Well-lit pedestrian thoroughfares retracing former Indigenous tracks create safe new connections between Wentworth Park and Fig Lane Park and a through-site link will connect Wentworth Park light rail station with the precinct.
The development's strategic location offers unprecedented connectivity. The adjacent Wentworth Park Light Rail station provides quick access to Darling Harbour and Central Station, while the future Sydney Metro West station and new ferry wharf at the Sydney Fish Market will further enhance transportation options.
Construction is scheduled to commence in mid-2025, with completion expected in 2028. The display suite is located at Level 6, 45 Jones Street, Ultimo.
