The 15-level first residential stage of R&F Property Australia’s Live City project at Footscray is now complete with the first residents set to move in within weeks.
The $750 million revitalisation of Footscray in Melbourne's inner west has reached a new milestone with the completion of a 15-level residential development.
The first of eight residential and mixed-use buildings within the Live City project features 208 apartments, exclusive resident bar and lounge, and a rooftop garden with 360-degree views across Melbourne, including Flemington Racecourse, the CBD, Docklands and Port Phillip Bay.
It comes after the $5.6 million restoration of the Kinnears Ropeworks site in April last year, which is set to house a range of residential, retail, commercial and community options.

R&F Property Australia commenced construction of Live City Stage 1 in December 2017, with the next stage will feature almost 400 additional homes, including some exclusive street-level townhomes.
R&F Property Australia Vice President Thomas Chiu said the completion of the first apartment tower was a significant step forward in the transformation of the precinct.
“We are delighted to see the first stage of this visionary project for Footscray come to life with the completion of 208 elegant apartments and great lifestyle amenities,” he said.

“Most projects require buyers to purchase off the plan and wait up to three years for their new home to be constructed,” he said.
“However, we still have some apartments available in the first completed stage, which means buyers can move into a brand new home in a fast-growing premier suburb immediately.”
Apartments in Stage 1 feature light-filled open plan living, most with floor to ceiling glass, timber floors, reconstituted stone benchtops, premium appliances, generous balconies and plenty of storage space.
A limited selection of one-bedroom apartments is still available with prices starting at $362,000 while two-bedroom apartments are available from around $482,000 and luxurious three-bedroom homes start at $792,000.
Upon completion, the master-planned Live City precinct will feature eight residential and mixed-use buildings including 1,450 apartments and townhouses and 10,000 metres of commercial space.
