To be in the running to win the UDIA Wingate National Awards for Excellence, New Marketing Exellence Award, projects in the category need to demonstrate an innovative and successful marketing approach and substantial delivery of the marketing strategy of the project.

For the judges Sekisui House’s innovative marketing approach, creativity and their response to market segmentation in the development of West Village were impressive.

The support of an ‘artist in residence’ program on site provided early activation and community acceptance.

In addition, the creation of local festivals, community market days and children’s activity areas ensured early awareness of the brand and assisted in an ongoing database of potential purchasers.

The success of the campaign was illustrated with more than 80,000 visitors to the site, 40,000 event participants and 15,000 sales suite visitors over a period of 18 months!
