James Branch and Mark Witheriff of Knight Frank have announced the sale of a 153-hectare parcel located on Currumbin Creek Road in Currumbin Waters for $15.25 million.
The sale of a 153-hectare landholding on the Gold Coast is a sign of positive sentiment toward the longer term stability of the market, according to Knight Frank.
Martha's Farm at Currumbin Waters was transacted for $15.25 million following an international marketing campaign conducted by Knight Frank's James Branch and Mark Witheriff.
Mr Witheriff said the property was sold with approval in place for 348 lots and leaving a significant balance area of open space and preserved bushland.
At a glance:
"Given the current population growth of the city and the shortage of traditional residential land, it is anticipated that demand for the end product will be keenly sought after from the retail residential marketplace," he said.
“Through the campaign, the broad local and international interest in the property was also a positive sign of genuine confidence in the Gold Coast residential market going forward.
"We are beginning to see a maturing of southern Gold Coast suburbs which for many years lagged behind the more recognised precincts such as Broadbeach and Main Beach.
"It is our view that this is a demonstration of a continued broader growth of the whole of the Gold Coast and not just centred on a few precincts.”
Mr Branch said it represented the sale of the largest strategic land parcel located within the greater Gold Coast area, to a locally-based and privately-owned property group.
