Jinding Developments, in partnership with Yolk Property Group, is launching its latest project in Armstrong Creek as Greater Geelong’s population is set to soar.
Located 10km from Geelong CBD, the new 94-hectare residential community named Halcyon Armstrong Creek will cater to approximately 1,800 residents with a project completion value of more than $178 million.
The 2019 UDIA Residential Development Index shows the Greater Geelong area requires nearly 2,900 new homes per annum as its population is expected to grow at a faster rate than both the Victorian and Melbourne averages.

Jinding Developments managing director Liz Ronson said the company was looking forward to creating a new community in Greater Geelong and said that Armstrong Creek was an area of strong interest among homebuyers.
“As Geelong is in a period of strong population and economic growth, it’s the perfect time to be launching our Halcyon Armstrong Creek project to meet the future needs of the area,” Ronson said.
“Our masterplan at Armstrong Creek will be a vibrant new community for Greater Geelong that focuses on promoting a lifestyle alternative to Melbourne, given its position between both Geelong CBD and the coast.
“We are offering a unique opportunity to live next to the surrounding wetlands while still benefitting from the proximity to already established shopping and education precincts.
“Armstrong Creek is already home to existing amenity and schools and is fast becoming a destination for families to settle and we have already had strong enquiry prior to the release of stage one lots.”
Located between Geelong and the Surf Coast and connecting to the nationally significant Lake Conneware Wetland System, Halcyon Armstrong Creek will have a focus on nature and the outdoors.
The project will feature 1.9 hectares of passive open space and parks, in addition to waterways, conservation areas and walking trails.
Halcyon Armstrong Creek is part of Jinding Developments’ broader portfolio which has a current project pipeline of more than 4,000 lots in Wollert, Junction Village and Sunbury.
The first release of the project, Stage 1A, will include 15 lots starting from $213,000 with construction slated to commence in mid-2020.
