An 8-hectare Cranbourne North allotment which has been in the same family ownership since 1898 has been listed for sale through CBRE.
Expressions of interest are being sought for an 8-hectare infill parcel of land opposite Springhill Shopping Centre in south-east Melbourne.
The site at 1435 Thompsons Road, which has been under the same family ownership since 1898, is being marketed through CBRE’s Julian White, David Minty and Chao Zhang.

Mr White said they expected interest in the $12 million range, given the infill property's proximity to Springhill Shopping Centre made it well-positioned for residential or retirement living.
“There is only a limited supply of development land remaining in the Cranbourne region, which has experienced sustained growth over the past two decades,” he said.
“This has led to the City of Casey becoming the 4th largest population growth municipality in Australia, and had made infill parcels like this, so close to retail amenity, highly appealing to meet the population growth demands.”
Mr White noted that 90 per cent of the City of Casey’s growth involved young first home buyers looking to start a family within four to five years.
“This makes townhouse product and other higher density residential product particularly appealing in this market given the enhanced affordability,” he said.
In addition to Springhill Shopping Centre (comprising Coles plus 16 shops), the Thompsons Road site is within walking distance of surrounding amenity such as Carlisle Primary School, Carlisle Sporting Grounds and an early learning centre.
