Will Carman has joined Savills Australia and New Zealand Commercial Sales division, heading up the Brisbane office.
Appointed within the Commercial Sales division, Will Carman will be focusing on residential development, bulk existing residential projects and commercial assets for Brisbane's northside.
With four years of servicing the Sunshine Coast in a similar role, colleague Robert Dunne, Director of Commercial Sales, says Brisbane property owners will now benefit from Mr Carman's expertise.
"We are looking forward to seeing Brisbane property owners benefit from Will's skills and determination to help them have what they want sooner, easier, and better than before," Mr Dunne said.
With a broad understanding of all commercial property sectors and services, Mr Carman told WILLIAMS MEDIA the decision to relocate to Brisbane came about after the birth of his first child.
"After having our newborn, we realised the need to be closer to family. There was also a great opportunity to work under Robert Dunne, so it worked out perfectly. Robert has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that I am extremely excited to learn and better myself by working alongside him," Mr Carman said.
He recently sold a massive freehold development site within the tightly held Northshore Hamilton precinct to an Asian-based investor/developer for $5.4 million.
Mr Carman, who introduced the buyer, said the investor was drawn to the property because of the impressive development upside potential.
“With an existing overlay for up to eight levels of development which would include residential, retail and commercial space, it was an opportunity they weren’t prepared to miss.
“The buyer was in town for the week and was keen to transact before they flew home. This resulted in us achieving a cash unconditional offer which was a great outcome,” Mr Carman said.
While the buyer has no immediate plans for the property, they do have significant long-term plans. Mr Carman says watching developments come to life is what he most enjoys about his job.
"I really enjoy working in selling development sites, because we get to see the development after we have sold the property. I also really enjoy getting the most upside out of a property for owners. We realise the upside in a property they might not have realised," Mr Carman told WILLIAMS MEDIA.
